Business Development Manager

Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business across Point-of-Sale Materials, retail displays, promotional materials, and illuminated signage. The role requires a strong hunter mindset and the ability to translate creative concepts into production-ready solutions.

The Business Development Manager will develop a robust pipeline, lead discovery discussions, build proposals, and close new client partnerships. This role also supports growth within existing accounts and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure accurate costing, project feasibility, and smooth execution. Travel required up to 40 percent.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand client objectives, timelines, and budgets
  • Develop proposals and presentations aligned with design and manufacturing requirements
  • Provide guidance on materials, print methods, illumination, and fabrication options
  • Translate creative briefs into production specifications and coordinate with internal teams for costing and feasibility
  • Support cross-sell opportunities across complementary product categories
  • Maintain CRM accuracy and provide regular pipeline and forecast updates

Business Development Manager Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of B2B sales experience in POSM, retail displays, signage, or related visual communication sectors
  • Strong record of new business development and account expansion
  • Technical understanding of POSM materials, production processes, and costing
  • Experience with CSM/CSM software, HubSpot experience preferred
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and commercial acumen
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Ability to travel up to 50 percent
